Thanks to the extreme generosity of The Schockett Family of Balsuma Farm in the USA, we have had the great honour of welcoming this world famous International Supreme Champion stallion back to the UK. The Governor was discovered by the Schocketts at the Parvadean Stud after visiting 19 farms and the Cob Sales in 1993. He was one of the early foals from what was to become the very famous Parvadean G line including his full brothers Parvadean The General: top of the 2004 Royal Welsh Cob Sales, Parvadean Three J's: foal champion and private driving champion, Parvadean Gelert: Lampeter Youngstock Champion two years in succession and champion under saddle/HOYS finalist, and Parvadean Flashlight: National Foal Show Champion.

In 1994 The Governor debuted his show career in the UK. His wins include: Medal winner, Champion Yearling, Champion Cob and Overall Res. Supreme Champion NCPA. Overall Supreme Champion Youngstock (all breeds) at West Midlands. Overall Champion Mountain and Moorland and Overall Supreme Champion Yearling at Glanusk. Champion Yearling and Overall Res. Champion Mountain and Moorland P(UK). Overall Champion at Royal Cornwall. 1st C Yearling Male, Best Yearling, Champion Youngstock, The Tom Thomas Award Best Youngstock, and Overall Res. Champion Male at the Royal Welsh Show.

The Governor's successes in North America in-hand include: Overall Supreme Champion at the Royal Winter Fair, twice, and more than 36 Overall Supreme or Res. Supreme championships at WPCSA shows including Double Supremes at two American Nationals. Successes in performance include: multiple WPCSA show Championships in cob pleasure, Hunter and carriage driving. Two USDF All Breed Championships. North American Pleasure Driving Championships Silver medal. Advanced FEI CDE's vying for the 1st World Pony championships in Austria. The Governor was the first sec C honored with a WPCSA Individual Legion of Merit Award in 2002 (by means of points amassed via performance and inhand awards.) He has also been a consistent topper of the WPCSA sire ratings, including in 2007, his last year in the USA. In 2010, Gov acheived his WPCSA Sire Legion of Merit award (from points amassed by his offspring.) We are so proud of the old boy who is still raking in the accolades even while he stands very pampered in his retirement!

Having flown the flag for the Welsh breed internationally and with nothing left to prove, this iconic stallion is now home in the UK to cover select mares and keep us ever amused with his fabulous personality! Gov has a kind, biddable and loving temperament and is simply a pleasure to be around. He is a fantastic comedian and just so much fun! We are indescribably grateful to have been graced with the opportunity to become the owners of such an exceptional and intelligent specimen of the breed. Gov has already produced champions in the UK and we can't wait to see how his legacy progresses.
